V-day rant (?)

Can you believe it’s already the tenth of February. Just four more days to Valentine’s day. (..so what?) Do you guys have any plans? Going out on a dinner date with someone? Going out with your friends? Staying in?

Valentine’s day is not just for lovers. I want to make this clear to everyone once and for all. People have always thought that the 14th of February is strictly just for couples to enjoy. Nope. In fact, everyone has the privilege to enjoy the day. It doesn’t necessarily have to be with a special someone (you know what I mean) You guys have other special people in your lives; may it be your best friend/s, friends and family.  Why not invite your best friend to go out? Or better yet, invite the whole barkada. You guys could just simply eat out and bond together.. Well if it happens that they have other plans that day then you could go ask your family instead (if it isn’t awkward), or simply go on a solo flight. You could go see a movie and dine at your favorite restaurant; you know, enjoying your own company. Or might as well just stay home and do whatever you feel like doing.  You don’t have to pity yourself for not having a V-date.. nothing’s wrong with that.

I haven’t really been on a date with “someone special” on Valentine’s, ever. I was always with my friends the past two, three, four, whatever years and I honestly didn’t have any problem with it. I’ve never posted on any social networking site saying such things like: I am lonely because I’ve no date/because I’m single/because I didn’t receive anything
While some single souls on Twitter whining about not having a valentine be like..
“Spending Valentine’s alone, I will be my own valentine. 🙁 ” (Who cares)
“Valentine’s Day is just going to depress me. 🙁 ” (Go f yourself)
“Lonely Heart’s Club on Valentine’s! 🙁 ” (Ulul)

STFU and go

It just pisses me off when I get to see those kind of bullsh– on Facebook and Twitter esp at this time of the month. It’s just plain annoying. Why are you so upset about being single on V-day?! Nobody cares if you’re lonely or if you want a teddy bear. NOBODY. So stop flaunting the bitterness and go continue listening to your Taylor Swift playlist, ok?

It’s just a day; it’s not like you’re going to spend the rest of your life alone. Anyways, HAPPY Valentine’s to you. (emphasis on ‘HAPPY’)
