My 19th birthday celebration! One of the most epic days of my life! 🙂
So.. I’ve decided to celebrate my 19th birthday in advance since my birthday is unfortunately on a Monday (which was just two days ago) I’ve been planning and stressing about my birthday celebration for weeks already. I was really planning to spend a night at Subic with my high school and college friends, that was my plan A. But then I thought, if I won’t be able to push it through, I might as well have a plan B. I thought maybe my friends and I could just go for a night out.
I started the actual planning two weeks ago; I searched the internet for a good place to stay in Subic, a nice beach resort, a place in Manila where we could have fun and chill at the same time etc. I made inquiries; I emailed resorts, hotels, clubs, karaoke places etc. I listed down the people I’m going to invite (just my best friends, basically) I started calculating how much money would it cost me. Every-single-thing. I wanted it to be organized. The only thing I forgot to do was to ask my parents for permission FIRST, before anything else. (If you do know me personally, you’d know I’m more scared of asking for permission to go out than I’m scared of dying.) So then, days after, I finally had the courage to tell my mother about my plans, about how I want to celebrate my birthday and all. So I told her, I was so excited and chirpy until I heard her say “Hindi pwede.” I was like, “WHAT THE ACTUAL F” I honestly didn’t see that coming. I tried to force her to let me carry out my plans, but… she really doesn’t want me to. She said it’s too far (But it’s just a two-hour drive from home!) and she (especially my father) NEVER really wanted the idea of overnight stays. I walked out of the room after a while, I honestly cannot accept that she didn’t allow me.. after all the planning I did; I was already feeling the excitement and everything, then… “hindi pwede?” Ganon ganon nalang?! I felt really really really dejected that time.
I didn’t lose hope.. Well I kind of did, but my friends motivated me to ask permission again. So after a week, I asked my mother for the second time. I texted her such things like “Subic subic subic *insert beach waves emojis here*” “Nay thank you po talaga, you’re the best!” pero waepek. She said tatay’s not in favor of it. A week before my birthday, I finally accepted the fact that no matter what I do, the ‘rents are not going to allow me. That I won’t be able to pull off my plans. Okay… sige.
Two days before my planned date of celebration (Saturday, 1st of March) my college girls and I helped me finalize everything. I really want to go to the beach, I swear. I don’t want a simple night out, I wanna go somewhere I wanna go and do something I wanna do. I. Want. To. Go. To. The Beach. I wanna go for a swim, I wanna lie down on the sand, I wanna go for a jet ski ride, I wanna watch the sunset, I wanna go out of town with my best friends. So we thought, we could still push through the beach plan.. hindi ngalang overnight. Instead, we’ll go clubbing in Manila during the night! Para masulit! That’s what I told my parents anyway; that we’ll just go for a night out instead. Just night out; I didn’t tell them about the Subic thing. Mayayari ako. I feel bad for lying though, but.. I had to. So it’s settled, yay! Finally!
Saturday (March 1st) Maryse, Kamille, Janeeva, Patrick and I left Bulacan at eight thirty in the morning, went immediately to Subic, went food shopping, then beach right after. I was so happy when we reached the resort. We went to the shore straightway, I just got really thrilled to take a look at the water. We lay out our stuff on the sand (brought a blanket to serve as a mat) Medyo picnic lang
We took lots of photos while waiting for the sun to calm down a bit then finally decided to take a dip at around two.
Favorite photos with my girls! Too bad Jannica didn’t come with us…. oh well! 🙂
We went for a jet ski ride before sunset! Two jet skis at the same time, f-to the effin-yeah. I was with Janeeva, while Kamille’s with Maryse. Fun and unforgettable experience for Janeeva coz it was her first time, though she got really scared at first (takot malaglag) I’m glad she get to try driving a jet ski and I’m also glad she get to ride with me. We were just screaming and laughing as the water slopped our faces. “This is life!!!” takte, ang saya lang talaga. I love the fact that water activities in such kind can make me extremely happy. Sore arms until now but it was so worth it. Sadly, Patrick didn’t join us. He’s not into water activities, he said. Thanks for looking out on our stuff though. Kidding! Tee hee!
We started fixing and cleaning up at around five coz we planned to leave at six. Almost five hours travel time from Subic to Manila (+ stopovers and traffic) Reached Global City at eleven thirty, went directly to Hyve and I was surprised to see a multitude of people waiting in line. Nastress ako ng very light for I’m not really comfortable being at crowded places. Nakaraos din, thank God!
