Summer 2013

Can you believe it, today’s the last day of my summer. I’ve only worn shorts like 2 times, man. In a week or so, that’s it. School starts tomorrow. Ayaw ko pa, 4 weeks of vacation clearly weren’t enough. (sometimes it takes more than a month to get something done) I honestly haven’t done anything productive this summer.. at all. I haven’t even cleaned my room. All I did was use my laptop, eat, sleep, eat, eat, eat, stay up til dawn, wake up in the afternoon all day errday. That was my everyday routine for 4 weeks. And now that school will start (sadly) tomorrow, everything will change. Now I have to wake up early, face people and be miserable at school.

Honestly, I didn’t enjoy my 4-week vacation. If you were in my place you clearly wouldn’t either. I had a lot of plans before summer I swear, but I ended up doing none. Real talk, none. I even told myself “This summer is going to be so eventful and so productive for me. Can’t wait to take advantage of new opportunities, learn, grow and change!” *happy dance*

Just kidding! I didn’t say that :p since then I already know my summer will be unproductive! Given na yon! But still, I had plans y’know. Plans that didn’t work out well;

• Take my dogs for a walk in the morning. I took them for a walk once.. in the garden.
• Break a sweat everyday. Did it once, but I stopped. There’s no need for a flat tummy if you’re not hitting Boracay the beach, ah yeah? Lol kidding my tummy’s not that big (yet), I think I could catch up next year. 😉
• Cook something. The only thing I cooked this summer was instant noodles, way to go Meng. Major in Culinary Arts then…. instant noodles. It’s not that easy guys believe me, one does not simply know when to strain the noodles. He he.
• Go to the beach… well it did happen.. once
• Update my blog often.. I don’t know, did it happen? I think not :p
• Practice driving. Didn’t happen.
• Save up. Didn’t happen.
• Make a good video. Didn’t happen.
• Clean our room! my cabinet and everything else. Didn’t happen.
• Go out with my college buddies.. Didn’t happen.
• Lastly, enjoy. NEVER HAPPENED.

Some people think my life is so interesting, that I always do entertaining stuff, have fun etcetera. No. You guys are wrong. My life is boring, that’s a fact. The only good thing about it is even if I don’t do anything amusing in my life, I’m still entertained. And I don’t know how I do that, I enjoy my own company perhaps? I do weird things that make me laugh. I don’t care if some people see me as stupid, retarded whatever. If my weirdness bothers you then here’s what you gotta do; Get a paper.. go get a paper, I’ll wait for you…

Okay now write the reason why my weirdness bothers you.. Go on.. write. Done?

Then..

 I’ll be weird whenever I want to. I don’t know. It feels great, try it!

Anyway, I’m already a junior college student starting tomorrow. Sucks, man I feel old. Be that as it may, I will always miss the feeling of being a freshman student. Panibagong kabanata kasi ng buhay yung pagpasok ng college. To those incoming college freshmen out there, you guys are just one step closer to a new chapter of your lives. Time to move on to bigger things!

Let me give you some advice.. mm this may sound cliche but just be yourself. Don’t try to fit in, okay! Second, have fun; but know when to buckle down and study/get homework, projects done. You don’t want to fall behind and become overwhelmed right? 😉 Lastly, learn! You are going to college to learn, I assume you know that. You will, of course, learn a lot of things that apply to your area of study. But you also will learn a lot about yourself: who you are, your purpose/goals in life, and the person you want to become. 🙂 kaya nyo yan! Explore! Live it and enjoy every second of it!

PS: If you’re an incoming Benildean/La Sallian frosh.. I would recommend that you try Goodles at University Mall. They have the best pasta ever, I swear! You can never go wrong with their spicy Salsa Rossa 🙂 🙂 🙂
