Cybercrime law

I can’t believe I’m doing a post about this, but any way I think everyone is informed about this new law in the Philippines, the Cybercrime law. If I were to give my reaction about this law…..

It’s all over twitter, Facebook, everywhere. Just like everyone else I’m also not in favor of it, but I’m also not really against it. Some people are over reacting (kala mo bibitayin na), bashing the gov’t officials who came up with the law especially Tito Sotto. (For your information, Angara is the author, Sotto just inserted the libel clause. So stop putting all the blame to him.) Seriously, do you really have to do that? Do you honestly think cussing would help? No. It really annoys me every time I see posts saying “Tangina mo/fuck you (insert government official’s name here)” I mean, hello? Nakakainis kaya. Sa tingin nyo ba magagawa nyo yan kung kaharap nyo sya in person? Stop acting tough. Maybe that’s the reason why they implemented the law. As I’ve said I’m not in favor of it. We WERE given freedom of speech/expression for a reason but it was abused. And I don’t think the government’s taking that freedom, I think they just want us to use it properly.. Us, including me. Haru juice ko, basta always remember that no one can take away one’s freedom, no one has the right to. Just don’t abuse it (“too much of anything is bad”) and use it in a proper manner. Para happy! 🙂

Anyway I was just going through my Facebook timeline when I saw this.. Things that Cybercrime Act should cover.

Natawa ako sa Emo 24/7! Maybe because I know someone who’s almost like that.. almost. My friends told me he visits my blog so if you’re reading this right now. Hi!! Oh don’t do anything to harm yourself ha! Charot!:)
