Today has been a really boring unproductive day………. as usual. I survived four consecutive days at home without wanting to stab myself in the ovary.. as usual. I’m a complete slacker and I could really pass as a jailbird for NOT wanting to get out of my room. Anyway! Lately, I’ve been spending time playing around with makeup to knock off boredom. (Ang lakas makaj3j3 nung “to knock off boredom” lol) And apart from that, I’ve been looking for ‘life-changing’ beauty tips online to make my makeup routine hassle-free.
So.. I want to share with you girls some (DIY) beauty tips/hacks that could make your beauty routine easy as pie. I’ve gathered only the effective ones so do spare some time to browse below. You gaLzZz must be clued in to these! 😉
1. Turn any pencil eyeliner to an ‘intense’ gel liner. (via thebeautydepartment)
2. Use a card to pull your lid up so you can get the mascara right to the base of your lashes. (via fitnessmagazine)
3. When you want that bold winged look, it is important that you draw the lines in first and then color them in. Just draw in the wing at the outside corner of your eye and then use the same eye liner to fill it in. This not only helps you to get cleaner lines, it helps your wings to stay in place much longer. (via fitnessmagazine)
4. Lash curling secret: Get the most out of your lash curler by pinching at the very base of your lashes, and then lifting the curler up into an inverted position. This creates double the curl and lasts much longer! (via listotic)
5. Instead of tossing them in the trash when your mascara expires, wash and repurpose those wands! You can use them as an eyebrow brush, even applying a bit of color before sweeping across your brows. Or, spray with hairspray and use them to brush and keep your eyebrows in place. (via listotic)
6. Color your entire lid with white eyeliner to make eyeshadow colors pop. (via livegorgeous)
7. Cover up dark circles by applying concealer in a triangle shape. This technique gives saggy eye bags a bigger lift. (I used to do the dot thing before, and I bet most girls are used to doing that as well lol) (via somakemeupbeforeyougogo)
8. Sadly, perfumes are not meant to be sprayed only on the neck, wrists and clothes. Learn where to apply perfume to make the scent stick with you longer. (via freepeople)
9. Matteify you lippie (via thebeautydepartment)
Another tip: Use a shimmer eye shadow to compliment a bold matte lip. (via beautyhigh)
10. Contouring the face (via cosmetology)
11. Learn how to set your lipstick for it to last. After you have applied your lipstick, hold a tissue over your lips and lightly dust translucent powder over the tissue. (via laurenconrad)
12. Nail art? Do it yourself (via @cosmetology)
13. Nail polish stain removal (via @CosmetologyPics)
14. Glitter nail polish is great, until you try to remove it. Instead of fighting with it during removal, use Elmer’s glue before you paint it on. When you use glue as the base coat, your glitter nail polish will actually just peel right off when you are ready to change colors and the glue can keep your polish in place for up to a week. (via wackylaki)
15. Need your nail polish to dry faster? Dunk your digits in a bowl of cold water for one to three minutes to cut your drying time in half. (via pinterest)
16. Shattered eyeshadow or blush? Instead of throwing out your compact, just add a small amount of rubbing alcohol and mix it into a smooth paste. Pat it down with a spoon and let it sit overnight. Your powder will be as good as new! (via pinterest)
17. DIY Home Spa treatments (via pinterest) There are always cheap, natural and effective homemade beauty recipes.
18. Lip exfoliator (via @cosmetology)
19. Contrary to popular belief, stick your bobby pins in wavy side down (via yummymummyclub)
20. When to toss it out (via listotic)
You’re welcome!
