It’s been a while since the last time they talked. Few days ago she got a private message from him. Saying sorry and all. Saying he regret everything he did. Hoping she would forgive him. Hoping she was doing fine.
She didn’t know what to respond. She just said she was alright. Telling him to shake it off, it has been done. “Everything’s fine. There’s nothing to worry about.”
She didn’t say much things anymore cause she may end up being emotional. And she didn’t want drama to start up with him again. The last thing he said was “I hope you’re not mad and I also hope you really are okay.” She wasn’t that sure if she was okay, but she was hella sure she’s not mad. Any way, she didn’t say any of those to him. Instead she just answered with a “Yup.” and a smiley face. What he did may be wrong and she may not be absolutely fine with it. But she understands, she always understands.
After the short conversation, she then realized some things; Maybe he didn’t mean to do it. Maybe he just got a little confused. And maybe he was really sorry for what he did. Maybe yes, maybe not. Whatever the reason is, nothing’s going to change the fact that she got hurt. But the thing is; no matter how much pain he caused her, she didn’t get mad at him. She actually never got mad at him, not even once.
Few days later, they finally got to see each other. They didn’t have a serious conversation as usual; instead they were talking in a very casual manner. But they both seemed uneasy. They can’t even stand looking straight right each other’s eyes for a moment.
She jokes a lot about what he did to her, making it seem like it doesn’t really matter anymore. They spent moments talking and laughing about it. But despite all the laughter, you can clearly sense the uncomfortable vibe between the two. Especially to him, cause he’s the one getting hit this time; talking about his mistakes and making jokes out of it doesn’t sound funny at all. However, he tried to conceal the discomfiture he was feeling through simply laughing it off. But it wasn’t just him who was hiding something. It was actually her trying to hide much more. She may be joking around, laughing and smiling on the outside but he has no idea on what she’s feeling on the inside. In fact, She, herself, is getting confused about her own feelings as well.
They remained silent for a few minutes. Time passed by way too fast for the both of them. It was almost nightfall, and it was already time for the two to part. He broke the silence and ended the conversation by saying “Hey, thank you for the time. And sorry again.” She smiled, and then he left. Her eyes were following him as he walk towards the door. Again, another day has gone.
