The last time I went to Baguio was probably like 11-14 years ago, oh diba bongga? Kaya naman I got really really excited for this weekend vacation with some of my favorite people. Special thanks to the birthday girl, Kamille Samidan, for sponsoring everything. Belated happy birthday again, girl!
Feb 7: Just an ordinary Thursday for everyone.. but not for me. It’s our town fiesta! Which means I can’t be at school until evening kaya naman I ditched my afternoon and evening class just to be home early (I’m kind of having regrets until now, nakamiss kaya ako ng isang quiz!! Quiz yon!! Quiz!!!) oh anyway, Maryse accompanied me to Bulacan (makikikain din hihi) nakakatawa nga kasi magkatext kami when we saw each other, unexpected yon! And yun, we got to Bulacan at around 4.. there were no visitors yet by that time kaya chill lang muna. I started packing my stuff for Baguio cause we’re leaving before midnight. (I swear, choosing what to wear is never easy *insert hashtag packingproblems*) Not to talk about what happened during fiesta, basta masaya. 🙂
Okay fast forward na to Baguio. Chos, to Orlando (Kamille & zaira’s pad) muna. It was already passed 12 when we reached Taft, Feb 8 na, birthday na ni Kamille!!!!!!! Surprised her with a cake even if she was asleep!! Everyone else (Zaira, Janeeva, Jannica, Ola, Ino and Steph) was also catnapping when Maryse and I arrived. Hindi pa umaalis, pagoda na itech? Lol they fixed their belongings na din agad-agad so we can leave (except for Zaira kasi may Friday class sya and hindi nya bet umabsent, so kinabukasan pa nya nilikas ang polluted na Maynila)
Pero picture muna with the birthday girl before gumow!
So ayun, go na agad sa Baguio!! I didn’t get to sleep (at all) during the long drive. Umaga na pero hyper pa din. Kanta, sayaw, tulog, nuod, sigaw, lahat! Reached Baguio at around 6, check agad ng weather forecast! It was 16 degrees, man! Good thing I wore boots (oh diba career ang cold weather!) we went directly to Kamille’s soon-to-be-sister-in-law’s place to have breakfast.
Before eating I received a phone call from my mom. Saddest news ever, (won’t broadcast it here anymore) sobrang nadepress ako! I was literally shaking when I heard what happened, I couldn’t even bother to get along with my friends, naloka ako ng sobra, I wanted to go home but I can’t. 🙁 still makes me sad every time I think of it. Hay.
After breakfast, go na kami sa balur. Transient house lang.. keri naman. Dropped our stuff then pasyal na din. We, out of luck, spent the day commuting dahil coding ang caru. Keri lang, public utility vehicles in Baguio are much much much better compared in Manila. Mura na, bait pa ng driver.
Gave Kamille her birthday present right away. Agad agad? Hindi mahintay yung debut? :p
First stop: Horse-back riding at Wright park!
We look so cute together, I wanna bring him home!!

It was my first time to ride a horse!! I wanted the pink one but they said hindi daw bagay sakin cause I’m tall. (Didn’t know height na pala ang basehan) chos, wala kasing malaking pink. Magmumukha akong nakasakay kay Twinkle shine ng little pony kung yon ang akin kaya keri lang! Baby levels!
Had lunch at SM baguio. Didn’t know the mall’s not centralized (malamang) nakakainis nga kasi I bought ice cream sundae as a substitute for frozen yogurt. (I crave froyo all the time) Akala ko kasi wala, but upon leaving the mall, while having a spoonful of icky vanilla soft serve, out of left field, I saw white hat. I was like “Anak ng” with body shake, literally. AHHHH BAT DI NYO SINABI. YOU GUYS KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE FROZEN YOGURT. I’d actually kill for it.
Next stop: Burnham
Went boating with the peeps, didn’t enjoy much cause all I felt was blobs of lake water on my skin. Yun lang ang naramdaman ko!!! Hahaha

Jump shots ang cartwheels. Gotta love it.
We also saw a fortune teller roaming around the park! I’ve always wanted to go to a manghuhula! I was about to approach one at Quiapo before when I realized 300 pesos’ too much for a prophecy. Nakakaloka I’d rather predict my own future, tapos bayaran ko sarili ko. (lol) But this old lady in Baguio’s….. grabe unbelievable!. 20 pesos. 20 pesos. 20 pesos!! Chos, nagulat lang ako kasi ang mahal pala sa Manila (what’s new?), anyhow they’re both “hula” lang naman. But I really want to try it for experience. Pero seryoso I could pass as a fortune teller, magaling ako manghula!
Last time we had a quiz I told my friends I’m gonna get a failing mark……………✓✓✓
Also went to (almost) every thrift store along Session road. As far as I can remember Baguio’s “The land of ukay-ukay” (parang hindi naman. Baguio’s prices are no cheaper than in Manila..) It would actually be nice if I rummaged through piles and racks of unsorted pieces, kaso nakakatamad. But luckily, I found a really cute leather sling bag, so ginetching ko na! Got it for only 450 pesos, mura na ba yun or not? (cause I heard some people were able to get cute finds for only 10 pesos or kaya less than 25) I’ve no idea if 450’s expensive/too expensive for a bag, pero kung mahal man sya keri lang kasi I lost my wallet the next day. *tears* look on the bright side, at least I got to buy something “pricey” before I lost all my money. Hay, hindi rin, wag mo ng pagaanin ang loob mo Meng. You’re broke.
